If you steal a horse this presumes a npc uses that horse so

Will npcs ride horses?
Rane
Aye, they will.

NPCs can do pretty much anything that the player character can.

Except to think, and feel, and LOVE.

Ahh, feels good to be human.
Curly_G_
Lmao. They can actually feel simulated Love, as there are relationships in the game but the player cannot take part in a relationship further than someone to talk to.
But, yeah... Wait on a perch with Bow and Arrows waiting for Traders or Knights to pass through the woods before quickly taking them out and looting. Hehee. You can do that with or without them being on horseback but I guess they will dismount and investigate if they have the guts.
Sirin
ah, the fun life of picking NPC's straight off of their horses!!! biggrin.gif
Million
I wonder if they can steal it back and other stuff too. Like if u leave clothes or weapons on the road will they just pick them up and sell them or something?
Sirin
yah prolly. i mean, if they're smart enough to steal food when necessary, they're smart enough to see a potential profit. but prolly not smart enough to realize that their profit will probably be followed by an arror in the back or a dagger to the throat!! biggrin.gif

Well if you read the main thought in this thread, which I think you did, then that proves that they do.

Oblivion's NPCs are gonna be fun to mess with biggrin.gif Especially with the Havoc physics in the game

sweet im going to leave some gold on the side of the road to lure them into the shadows... then BAM ! a dagger in the back biggrin.gif like fishing in a pond

gonna be fun messing with the ai smile.gif
jchamber
fishing in a pond doesn't always end up as easy as people make it out to be....unless it's superstocked and you got some nice bait....and I am going to be in the Imperial City pond, use some nice food or drink item as my bait and a nice spell, damage on target, ready as my hook
1234king
will they be smart enough to pick up weapons and go on a killing spree

i would lure them into the woods with a trail of gold and pick them off from a tree
jchamber
lol nice! well one of the incidents the dev had was that an NPC made a copy of the main character, and that character went off on a killing spree....so yea, unless something has changed.
