Hey, Channycat, can you give me a description of what's happening on Bodisa Prime?

Why are the Rykar there? Description of the current battleground, etc.

As of now I've try'd to quarentine the fighting to just about the downtown district (which inheretly is pretty large). The Downtown District is sorta like the make up of a major city like New York or Hong Kong.

However, after about 10 years of fighting imagin what a city like New York would look like..

Ok, enough for the setting. Currently the Rykians initiated an invasion of the marcellous system in order to disrupt the ship building plants, and to stop the human expansion into uknown space.

When the Rykians destroyed the orbiting military ship uilding station (that was built unto a moon) it cause the world to go haywire, and Bodisa Prime (the city) is locked into a eternal cold. (dont ask me to xplain )

The humans objective in this struggle is to simply push back the attackers.
Side goal would be to capture one of the numerous arms producing plants to study and copy the rykian weapons. So far nothing has been achieved there.

The rykian goal is to kill everyone on the planet or enslave the remaining populace.

There is prob more but I need to go do something real quick..

I gonna wing it and say were are at the Rykar Forward base.. Its right on the front lines of the conflict.

Major landmarks in the general vacinity are..

The City Center - The original building that housed the government, it is now an empty shell yet fairly in tact. Current residence are the humans.

The Canals - They are a series of water works that run through the city, while at ground level they very sneaky ways to get around

Market Square - This is the forward command post of the rykian forces. Home to the very first colonial buildings. However most are not intact

The Monument of Marcellous - Pretty much the centre stage to the every showdown. Each side controls one half of the square. Numerous sides have attempted a offensive but each have resulted in extreme casulties.

The Temple - A worship center to honour every god/goddess in the human spectrum of religion. Currently the residence of the HDF forward command post, and the sight at which the arty is firing.

Well that will be fine, It will help in defining their relationship. Besides I am sure you will seethat the cycle it follows is usually predictable.

Honestly I have no idea what will become of Satyana.....it seems she´s kinda stuck in her Research station...with nowhere to go....

Megil; I have a sort-of solution to minque's problem.

Since Ed is in his guilt trip thingy, he could decide to go to RS413 to work with Satyana, and then something could happen and they leave with Satyana, putting her in a different location.

Yeah! Someone come to her....and get her out of that station before she becomes crazy! Poor Satty.....her lab is in a mess, ppl just coming to the station, eating her food, smashing her lab, and god knows what!

Well I'm out... Was a little bit mean by me to just leave the whole thing but there's so much stuff coming up for the time that I dont find much time to hang on to a RPG here on the forum. It's the last 6 months of school before I move on, have so much to work on

But maybe I'll manage to come by now and then, but my character is pretty much dead so I think LoneWolf have to be the lone wolf until he can hook up with some of you guys and gals

hello. Is there an equivilent of an air-force? i want my character to be a purely space-combat oriented character but dont know of any current factions or at least Military groups who are focused on space combat. If there is an air force (space force?) for either army ( the rebbelious factions) what is it called?

I've thought of how we can get to RS413. That's why Rann is currently undergoing what he is.

Ahh at last, I mean she´s been busy repairing things that Arthur happened to smash to pieces..and then worrying about Rann! Good work! I´ll keep the thread covered so I´ll know when to reply!

why is Ed mad at Rann?

not sure... lol. He's irrate and anxious witht he current situation, and needed something to vent his anger on %!). Rann just landed with the load. lol Ed isn't one to handle this type of stress very well, ad he is mad at himself for making teh mistake with Lily.

Alright there's something about this station attack I'm not quite understanding.

Since they attacked the ship from the outside why would the attackers be inside the station?

Logically since they have attacked it from teh outside, by destroying they would kill anyone on the station. so why send people in?

Assuming for some reason they ahd come in, why are they only in one corridor. seems like they would be mreo than those few guys, and would be all voer the station. heading particularly to the hanger where the ship entered since the attacking ships would have notified the ones inside that a ship had entered the station.

see where I'm going? this whole situation doesn't any sense


also why is the oxygen dissapearing? seems sily for the computer system to sut down lifesupport during an attack. it would be more logical to shutdown gravity and the like first. If the oxygen depletion is caused by a rupturing of teh hull. then the pressure within the station would also drop as the near vacuum of space sucked all gases from teh ship. and if that is the case then oxygen depletion wouldn't be as big a problem a lack of pressure and a temperature plummet.

First, those people weren't the attackers. They were the crimelord's people, hence the whole 'what day is it?' scene.

second, systems failing is a logical part of any attack. if an oxygen tank or two blows, it's quite logical that it'll run out. A computer can't stop an explosion.

hmm I see. Ijust assumed the people inside where with the people outside attacking. since I don't see why they would hang around if the station is being fired upon.

also why would they keep oxygen tanks on the outside of the station where they are vulnerable? they would still have to rupture the hull in which case the vacuum of space would once more work much more expediently than dwindling oxygen. also sincemost of these places are running on biosphere setups they wouldn't really have huge oxygen tanks, and the ones they did have would be placed deep in the station since they are essential for life support. not on the periphary were they can easily be targeted by outside targets.

so if they were hit and caused to explode you would have had to penetrate the hull once more facing the vacuum of space problem.

for ambient oxygen to be depleted by respiration would take an extremely long period of time. more than a few minutes.

Maybe the hull has been breached, and the section that was punctured was sealed off, and the atmosphere is failing.

minque how old is Satyana? (for real I mean)

I thought she was 30 (ish?) so, if Satyana was 15, that means that Rann would be 2.

And I think one of us said that the accident that took their parents and Rann's eyes happened 15 years ago?

There's just some stuff that needs clearing up for me.

Yes yes...Satyana is about 32......so Rann will be 17?....that is in real life.BUT....Satyana has entered a dream-world..she has mentally got backwards, so she THINKS she´s about 15-16 because her memory of that time is unaffected. She thinks she´s that age and that´s why she keeps on ranting about her baby-brother! She doesn´t recognise Rann as her brother now because iin her world.....her brother´s a baby!

Now if the accident happened some 15 years ago..that will make sense.....Satyana got a nasty schock then......andalso got one ..now as Syke died..so...she has to be treated with something to get the mess in her brain back to normal.

Some blows to her head.....or electric schock.....or something.....more futuristic, maybe that substance could be used? rithum was it?

Anyway I´ll be off to Germany tomorrow so I won´t be online very regularly the rest of the week, but I´ll try to get here now and then anyway!
