Yeah, doomedone is right. This was old news when dinosaurs roamed the Earth.
Hey and guess what! YOU CAN RIDE HORSES! But in all seriousness and not to be a boat, I did only find those pics because I was a regular on this forum

EDIT: Wow.... they replaced the A word (as in butt) with the word boat....
Crazy censorship.

you just now figured that out? they replaced hamster with hamster and honoured user with honoured user and umbrella seller with umbrella seller and thermos with thermos and ceiling with ceiling and loaf of bread with loaf of bread and compassion with compassion
and i think the argonian looks fine, if a bit scary.

I wonder if they've replaced saleswoman with anything yet...
Anway, I think the khajiit looks great, I only wish someone had brought back a VIDEo of khajiit generation. I saw the high elves which look rather strange, but they are random faces after all. You want to make one look good I guess you need to gon there and ide yourself.
EDIT: Oh, they're really on top of the censorship. Let me see here, thermos umbrella seller saleswoman hamster lover compassion boatmaster ceiling meekrob

My sister and I looked at this picture several times, and we think it doesn't look too bad. Just needs horns and finned-ears (like in Morrowind) and maybe slightly bigger eyes, then he would look better.
Oh, I heard that the Argonian's eyes were closed in that screenshot (he blinked or something), so I'm curious as to what his eyes look like when they're open.

EDIT: Speaking of beast races, has there been a (legal) clear, high-res screeshot of a Khajiit yet?

Its the angle that makes his muzzle look so short. Very bad angle to show off muzzle length. Almost as bad as straight-on.
He could use some head decoration, as Mergirl said. Like horns.
His arms and skin tone make me think "TRANDOSHAN!" for some reason.
Waaaay too much star wars on me brain....

I think they look great, though I guess I liked the faces from Morrowind the most.
Also, lemme see, hamster, compassion, boat, panda bear, loaf of bread, mother hamster lover, honoured user, boat hole, umbrella seller, saleswoman, dreamy school girl. Wow, I think that's the first time I actually swore here. Also, the opposite of loaf of bread isn't censored.

In a way you still haven't swore.
Anyways, I agree with Aki, I thought it looked like a trandoshan.

You know, there's the preview post function that lets you see your post before it's actually posted on the board. It's an ideal way to research the auto-censor system if you feel like you have to. So enough with these pointless tests, ok?

Er, I have no clue what Trandoshan looks like, so I can't really say if it looks like one or not.
About the muzzle, I wonder if we will have the option (in character creation) to adjust how long the snout can be?

Like, with a slider or something.
If there are going to be horns, perhaps they would be under the 'hair options' in character creation section of the game. (At least, I'm
hoping for horns to be available in the first place).

First;
TrandoshanAs for the muzzle, I bet you can. It'd be like...not giving a nose/mouth adjuster for human races....

Well, according to one person who got invited to that New York X-Box 360 event, there is a way to modify the length of the snout/muzzle, and there is a 'fin slider', which is good news to me.

Yah but since they created the software, they should have accomodated it for argonians and khajit to. I can understand them wanting to keep models and scale and what not the same, but using the same program for the humans and lizards, and khajit is just being plain lazy. that is a really crappy looking argonian O.o

What I'm saying is that they're using third-party softward for the faces, just like they're using speed-tree and havoc, They had to revamp the software for argonians and khajiit but it was still based on the original software for humans. That argonian is progress.

Um, Beth didn't create the FaceGen software, I don't think. They were
using it, but they didn't
create it. I think they had to alter the FaceGen to, er, support the Beast Races--which FaceGen originally didn't have. (FaceGen was human/elf only)
FaceGen is just another different software/product, and was around before Beth used it in this game. (Kind of like Poser/Daz 3D/Bryce/Etc, which I think Oblivion should have used [
(Some examples of my fav Poser bodies and faces)Poser faces, bodies/Daz 3D] instead).
From the faces of the Beast Races I've seen, I think Beth is doing a decent job. It could have been worse--it could have been cartoony-stretched human faces colored red/green.

News that just got in.
http://www.elderscrolls.com/forums/index.p...howtopic=175036QUOTE(kathode)
In the past couple days, an unfinished build of Oblivion was leaked to a Russian gaming site. You may have seen screenshots and information about this build online. The site in question was not authorized in any way to post the information that it did. The build in question was not in any way intended to be used for the purposes of demoing the game.
The screenshots that got posted clearly show that the game was not properly configured by whoever was playing. The ini file alone contains over 300 settings that can be used to customize the visuals and performance of the game, and we tweak and test and change these settings daily. Because the build they are using was not one that we locked away for the specific purposes of demonstration, the likelyhood that any number of those options are incorrectly configured is very high. This can result in any manner of aberrant behavior from the game including improper visuals and reduced performance.
The upshot is that we feel the quality of the screenshots released is very far from the final game. This combined with the fact that the they are completely unauthorized by anyone representing Bethesda to publish screenshots or info means that we have to shut down threads relating to this leak.
Hopefully soon, as we get closer to release, you will see legit sites posting previews based on actual preview builds of the final game.
In other words, *click*
This is good news since it means that more than likely the settings were messed up so the beast races are not at their most polished state. Though i don't play beast races this is much of a relive because now we do not have to look at stretched textures, that looks like paint splattered onto a canvas.

Indeed. On the concept art they have dreadlocks.
They will look cooler diving out of the shadows now.
I think people have a problem because all beasts now stand upright and all the screenshots of Argonians are crestless, but I read somewhere the crests are definately still around, so I think it'll all be fine.

Thoughts: loaf of bread!
