Every time I try to use the search function on these boards, I get an error message saying "Sorry, the administrator has taken the search engine offline for the moment. Please try again later"

So, I can't even select "View New Posts", which is a major pain.

Are you saying that it's specific to me/my setup, and that the search function works for you?

i would appreciate the implementation or activation of the search function too. a "mark all topics as read" button would be helpful too. the forums have become pretty active i n the past days, and its hard for me to overlook the masses of new posts which pop up nowadays.. and all because of that dvd video wink.gif

The search function is currently disabled for everyone. It was disabled due to a server instability which occured some time ago. In time, it'll probably be re-enabled.

Such a feature already exists. When in a subsection, look under the "New Topic" and "New Poll" buttons which are on the top-right. You should see the "Mark this forum as read" text.
