Ive recently installed the sound enhancement mod for MW, and i have to say, it really enhances the immersion!

when you look at the OB trailer, and view the part of the skeleton walking past the camera, please listen to the sounds. do you think that sounds good? i think, the sounds of the skeleton ... well suck.

i really hope beth has learned from the errors of the past, since most of the sounds in MW suck too, and will use better sounds this time.

(same goes for animations actually - what we can see right now is not all too good.)

I really hope that the sound quality in Oblivion will be good, one thing I really didn't like about Morrowind was how I didn't get much scared walking in a tomb or something. But as I've played DOOM3 in total darkness I really see how much sounds play a role in a game, so I really hope that Oblivion will have really good and scary sounds if I for example was sneaking around in a dungeon full of skeletons etc.

And if the sound enhancement for Morrowind was good then I really hope they will work further on that in OB...

Personally the sound enhancement did nothing for me. But that's just me.

I have played doom 3 too.If they can make dungeons that scary ill be in love.

i really dislike the footsteps....

and it would be so nice if OB could actually scare me, with sounds or otherwise.

maybe we are talking about different mods. im talking about the one which is in the top 10 of the "morrowind summit" site.

theres another one from bethesda around, but its not good.

the difference is really hearable, there are much more and much better environment sounds and weapon sounds and whatnot in that mod. i can only recommend this one to anybody still playing MW...
