some might recognize me by name, ive been in there (the IRC Chatroom) yesterday but cant connect today.

The error i get is as follows:



Ive tried to remove the entry manually as described on the linked website, but i wasnt patient enough to wait a few hours. I decided to post here, so you guys could look into it, maybe its an general issue with spamassassin or whatever tool you use to ban bad guys.

This stuff happens, sadly. Someone else using the same ISP does something stupid like have an open proxy or be infected with worms, and then before you know it, you dial in, get his IP, and are stuck with a ban. Same thing happened to me today! I talked to an IrcOP, but he told me there's nothing they could do; the only way to get rid of that ban is:

- get a new IP (disconnect, dial in again) or
- try and have the ban removed, and then wait

They've told me there's nothing they can do: they can unban you, but since they don't control the blacklist themselves, the ban would come back the minute you tried to connect.
