I think when you progress a lev certain things should automaticly go up depending on your class like in dungeons and dragons and baldurs gate (i use those as reference alot). It would make level progression more exiting.

I think that leveling up just has to do with how much u train. Like on Morrowind i trained for a month just goin around ghostgate fighting. I love training. But in Oblivion they should make the leveling a little more fun though.

Yeah training is ok. I wouldn't tamper with the current leveling formula though. I love it.

Personally speaking, I'm ecstatic that there's a big-name fantasy CRPG out there than hasn't mindlessly followed the D&D XP/levels/class model. I mean, it makes some sort of sense in tabletop gaming as a method of reducing bookkeeping, but really, a computer is the ultimate bookkeeper... why import such an artificial system into a computer game?

I'd be even more pleased if they did away with levels entirely. 100% skills based, with your maximum health calculated from your stats like Magicka is, and stats increasing through usage like skills (but more slowly). But, I can live with their current system... your "level" in MW was a quite different beast to a D&D level, although it confuses some people who want to think of it in the same light.

I really hope that levelling can be made entirely invisible myself. Though there should be an option to check your progress, I would prefer to have my stats improve seamlessly, like in real-life - suddenly you notice that you can lift something you couldn't before, or that you can run faster.
