Self explanatory poll about, based on what you've seen so far, what race you think you'll play, at least for your first play through Oblivion.

I'm a little torn, I know what my majors will be but I can decide what race (or sign for that matter) would be the best fit. I'm leaning toward bosmer, what do you think?

My Majors are: Alteration, Mysticism, Destruction, Restoration, Sneak, Acrobatics and Blade -or- Three of those four magic types and add Marksmanship.

I'm not sure what I'll be, but I know I won't be Bosmer, Altmer or Khajit. I'm a little tired of dunmer, and I've never been a huge imperial fan either, and orcs are pretty dull, which means I'm likely to be Breton, Redguard, Nord or Argonian, depending on what kind of skills I want to have. If the magic system has been reworked in a way I like, I'll go for Breton, but otherwise I'll play one of the other three races as a fighter/ranger type.

Dunmer, of course.

Mostly Likely a Warrior, or a Battlemage. To try out the new combat system.

And, of course, to bloodly my sword....

Afterwards, maybe a Khajiit Assassin. Deadly kitty.

I'll have to see, chances are though that I'll use a Thief/Argonian.

I will be using an Imperial for my first PC, with majors of

Longsword, Block, Medium Armor, Acrobatics, Destruction.

And Minors of

Light Armor/Unarmored(Ca't decide), Restoration, Athletics, Markman, Armorer.

As you can see I like my Characters to be fast and deadly, but with tons of stopping power. I and going to love Oblivion...

I'd probably play as an Imperial or a Brenton (I'd never play as a Nord, EVER, because of their annoying accents) if their cheek bones were higher, their hair could be black, and you could seriously make them look different from the traditional imperials.

If not, I'll make a Dark Elf/Dunmer, so long as they don't all look like that freakish man-woman in the PC Gamer screenshot.

dunmer, unless i am really impressed with the way imperials look. they scared me with their ugliness in MW.

I also do nords for their resists and stuff, not so much for their skills. In Morrowind I never played beast races because they walked funky, but I might this time since they are humanized

Now that I think about it, I'll proably go argonian, because so many people don't like the now and it would suit my character quite well, I'd need to change his name though.

Redguard, then Nord, and then probably an Argonian.

Firstly Nord, then Orc, then Dunmer.

Nord, definitaly.

Argonian assassin, if they don't look as bad as on that new screenshot.

Imperial first because they are a basic warrior then probably Khajiit so I can be a thief. But maybe not because I liked the MW Khajiit andI might not like the new more humanoid one in Oblivion. Especially if they don't have the skills that the MW Suthay-Raht had. I go into more detail on my post on the To Do List topic.

I didn't like the way Khajits walked in MW. They looked like they had a stick up their butt. So I might be a Khajit/thief. If not then maybe Dunmer/thief with destruction and I can't wait to use the new Archery system. I rarely used it in the past.

Probably Bosmer...but if I can't rework the face so it doesn't look too annoying it wil be imperial.

I voted for Breton; in Morrowind, they were a really good magic/melee combo race. If they've changed the races a lot, I'll probably have to reconsider...

I'm most likely going to delete the voice files for my Bos character and replace them with silence. No more groans or grunts for me.

I loved the argonan hisses in morrowind!

I will be a Thief/ Assassin Imperial. Perfect for night time in the city.

Dunmer or Breton. Possibly a Altmer. Ill probably wait to see my choices.

Well, I'm a little undecided right now. From the screenshots, I think I will probably an Elf so far (because the humans do not look very impressive right now).

What I'm hoping for are more hair options like these from this link to Facegen add-ons.

If the Altmer (and Bosmer) can be altered to be cute, I will probably play one of these. Hopefully, nothing drastic has been changed to the Altmer and Bosmer.

I would like to specialize in: -Restoration
-Necromancy of any sort
-Blunt weapons
-Marksmanship (Bows)
-Any other magic field (destruction, etc), depending if it's done well

Dunmer Battlemage.

May also go for stealthy imperial of some sort.

This is assuming I ever get OB, and a computer worthy of running it.
