I am getting it for the 360 seeing it is a whole lot cheaper then buying a brand new PC, plus I tend to play it more on X-Box, and I will be getting a 360 anyway...
Rane
Added an option for Both.

And that's probably what I will do. Of course, I'll be getting it for PC first and then when I finally get a X-Box 360 I'll buy it for the console as well.
DoomedOne
In a world where I'm a much better shoplifter I would have picked both.

i voted 360 but in the future when oblivion is obsolete and can be bought for 10$ brand new i will get it for pc (what i did with morrowind)
Redvsbluefan0
Just PC for me smile.gif .
Wurlon
Pc because the construction set, probably better graphics and because I doubt the necessary video card will cost $600 (basic xbox 360 bundle). I might buy a copy of Oblivion for xbox 360 as keepsakes though,
molia
i'm all 4 pc. why get a console when u can use a pc 4 both media and office?
don't tell me u don't need a decent office pc on your desk. u're in 2005 for god's sake.
kvright.gif oups. did i say god? sry. i meant chance.
anyway, there's nothing a little nitrogen won't speed up unless u're running organic CPUs on your desktop pc
DoomedOne
Nitrogen will speed that up too.

Too late, today I preordered Oblivion for the PC, I can't change my mind now.
Ambberfox
certainly PC. No way am I gonna buy that expensive Xbox360 just for Oblivion huh.gif

PC. Better graphics, a lot more adaptive, and heck, I can't imagine playing an RPG on one of those console dildos. 3-4 months after a console is released the average pc will crush it in performance. And a huge chunk of us who use PC already have a lot more powerful machine then the xbox 360.
King Death
360, even though my pc is more than capable of running it.
Nashi_Tai
PC all the way, reason one word... plugins!
mplantinga
PC. Definitely. Morrowind was a great game, but the mods made it better. I can't imagine playing Oblivion without the possibility of mods. I'll have to build a new computer to play it, but it will be worth it (at least for me). Now, how to win the lottery... blink.gif

Where do you all get the idea that PC will have better graphics when the devs have directly told us otherwise?

Xbox won't be able to pull it in the max resolution + shadow / antialias / anisotropy / whatever levels on max as a high end PC will. It just won't. We know what the xbox is going to be composed of and that thing isn't gonna be able to pull it all off without hitch-ups (and since hitch-ups are no-no for consoles, they are going to tone the graphics down). That is why.

Right. And since the people making the game have -said- that the Xbox will run Oblivion as good as Oblivion can be run, we should forget that and just say PC runs it better. After all, why would the devs know anything about how the game functions?

Xbox 360 will be more than adequate to run it at max. Quit lying to yourself and trying to make PC seem better.

You are absolutely right. Xbox will run Oblivion as good as Oblivion can be ran. As good, as it can be ran on a PC which has the equal potential of rendering the game as the xbox has. Which is not as good as the high-end PC is right now. Any questions?

Since I own a real computer, and by that I mean a Mac G5, I'll be getting the 360 version.

This article got pulled in 30 min.

This article compares PS3 and Xbox360 to PC's and each other.Doesn't look good for microsoft or sony(which are probably sponsers) and they pulled it.Actually it looks great for MS and Sony(lots of dumb fanboys throwing cash away) but it doesn't look good for gamers and developers.

This looks really good for "High End" PC owners.

Oh yeah don't comment on this unless you plan to read all of it lazy ases. tongue.gif

I'm going for PC, because of the TES CS, and I have better reflexes and control on the computer, when it comes to this stuff. smile.gif

I think, since the graphics are so much better (than Morrowind) in Oblivion, and the CS will include more flexibility in altering faces, I will attempt to try to learn to use the CS. Hopefully, the CS is more user-friendly.

I have Morrowind on PC and X-Box, but I prefer the PC version, because, when I played the X-Box one, the loading time was too, too slow compared to my somewhat already slow loading time on my PC version. And the control scheme for the X-Box was much harder for me to get a grip on.

Besides, I never really play that X-Box that much anyway. (I prefer PS2 and GC).

But, in the end, it really depends on the person. Some people feel more comfortable with a controller, and others feel more comfortable with a keyboard. I'm sure Oblivion will be great on both versions. biggrin.gif
