This is meant to be a place where you can talk about anything without having to stay on topic. Feel free to ask questions, to talk about the things in your life you like to share with your fellow-members. Or just step inside for a while, have a coffe and a good chat!
You may feel free to post whatever you like as long as it is within the rules of the forum.
But if the conversation degrades to spam, you will be treated as though you are spamming anywhere else on the forum. This is a thread where you can relax and talk about personal things, but it is not to be used as an excuse to make pointless posts.
Please help to keep this alive and well and a place where we can meet and share.
Enjoy your stay here!!!
Well being that I like fighting more than anything else in a MMO SWG really lost it for me. I played it for 1 month I think and couldn't stand it, I'm sure they could of done a better job...
Oh and WoW. I don't care if you like it, whatever suits your fancy. I'm just saying that to me it feels the same. And in a lot of ways guild wars feels the same too.
combat was hard, as to fight any thing reallygood, you needed to "buff" yourself, which is temporaily raisng stats. And wear armor.
Though, of the Fighting styles i've tried, Teras Kasi (Martial arts type stuff), Swordsman (Two handed swords), Bounty hunter (Pistols, Carbine, and a Special Weapon all rolled into one), and pistoleer (Pistols), thety were all pretty fun.
Esspecially swordsman and Bounty hunter.
Teras Kasi was good for Meditating in Pictureque places.
and pulling off kickass combo type objects.

Pants? Yes or No?
It's a poll that willl eventually spread throughout the world!
Yes: 125
No: 517
It isn't about wearing pants, or if you like pants. Just answer yes or no. It helps to say whatever comes into you head first.

And I want coffee and pi.
Make the coffee green... not too dark, almost a green that could tranform ones soul into an almost hypnotic state for a time being... and a chocolate cookie.
And, since I don't have to stay on topic, I would like to share a question that I get all of the time, since I am a major in Cosmological Studies.
What is Dark Matter?
---Dark matter is any nonluminous astronomical particle that is detected only by its gravitational influence. Examples include planets, black holes, white dwarfs and more exotic things like weakly interacting particles.
Also, another popular question I get is:
Do White Holes exist?
---The answer is yes. A white hole is the time reversal of a black hole, another singularity in space-time. Matter emerges from a white hole (unlike a black hole, into which matter is drawn). An example of a white hole is the original singularity of the Big Bang. Also, Jupiter's white oval visible from space is a 70-year-old storm. This enormous hurricane is almost the size of the Earth, and could engulf earth itself, it the two gravitational pulls did not contradict eachother.
Any questions? Anyone? I feel like teaching. I have 24 days and 145 hours left before I feel like not teaching.

Channler: I believe they've said numerous times that threads of that nature are allowed, but double-checking and seeing if they have anything to add or making specific requests is probably a good idea, yes.
If a green light flashes, go ahead and establish whatever ground rules you wish for the debate, but a mention of our
rules will do for the behaviour-tidying part. We're watching over you.
Yack, I've been busy lately, and it don't stop 'till the wheels fall off!
One of the last, and nastiest, chemistry tests scheduled for take-off in about 8 hours. I be doomed! Doomed, I say...
So, HI, JonaJosa! Gimme da bomb! *guzzle*
You folks have a lovely evening/morning/day/etc. now, and g'night.

Belated Happy birthday, cake and hugs!

Its not to sandy... in some places. The thing we worry about is the dust in the air. There so much of it up there that when it rains... it rains mud. I mean i'll walk out side during a storm or somthing and next thing i know i have 1in of mud all over my body.
And then the worst happens! The storm passes and it gets real hot and the mud dries to my BDUs. I have to wash them again! Really annoying.

I've always wondered.. What is Anti-Matter? And is it possible to "Tear" a hole through space as such has how a black hole does?

really? So if you go into a black hole and survive, then theoretically you could come back into the galaxy via white hole? this is interesting.
and my question is................................. i'm not getting anywere. nevermind lol
and Hi Jonajosa i'm going to steal some cookies.
to Rane's last coment to me: yes thats what I though, that sucks really bad, taking it that all I have is (in order of use) a PC and the SuperNES and the Atari Jaguar come in close together. and my mom won't let us get anything else.

Frankly soulseeker, i wouldn't try it.
With the gravitationpull of a black hole, and how its' not physically a hole (as in, a 2-D hole with only one or two enterable sides...) i suspose its just a big Gravity crushing thing.
and i doubt being crushed is very pleasant at all...

Well, I don't think you will be missing that much.

When (and if) the game comes out I don't expect that much from it. Quite frankly, I'll probably wait for a whole bunch of reviews of it first, then ask people who played it about what it's like and then I will
perhaps borrow it from someone or somewhere. That is, if my PS2 will still be working at that point...
Anyway, it's another sunny day here. If the weather continues to be like this we'll get an early summer here after all.
Hope everyone will have a nice weekend.

Really? Darn, I haven't really been that up to date with what's going on in the community lately.
I wish you best of luck then.

Hoping things will work out for the two of you.
So, when does the party exactly begin?

I'll bring the punch and pie.

26th of April
we first started talking on the 5th of April after she posted a story on the Es forums and i commented on it. I noticed she was Irish and things kinda went from there
minque
May 13 2005, 06:33 PM
I also read her story then....and I noticed you commenting, I think I also did.....
itīs rather funny how things like that can develop..
Wolfie
May 13 2005, 06:53 PM
yeah but i'm glad i met her.
Who knows where i'd be if i hadn't.
Edit : Too personal

May 13 2005, 07:50 PM
Well iīm happy for you....
So when and where do you plan to meet?
Wolfie
May 13 2005, 08:10 PM
not sure when, but probably down in Limerick where she lives
Could be a couple of years before we meet, unfortunately
minque
May 13 2005, 08:17 PM
Awww thatīs sad..is it so geat distance between Limerick and Dublin? if so wonīt there be some Ryanair flights....? theyīre really cheap....
Ryanair is irish....
Wolfie
May 13 2005, 08:18 PM
it's not really the distance so mucha s the fact that because we're both so young permission off our parents could be a problem. and money too
minque
May 13 2005, 08:26 PM
yeah....hmm thatīs right, funny, I donīt see you as young as you really are, you are so mature and I like very much talking to you.....but sure you might persuade your parents to let you go on summer-vacations....but then again maybe not
I would have let you go because I think you are sensible and you would manage very well......
My middle-daughter is 16 and she also has control, Iīm starting to let her go on concerts, festivals, other kind of trips on hr own, to let her learn to take care of herself....and so far she has done wonderfully...as I think you would!!
Wolfie
May 13 2005, 08:35 PM
People always think i'm really mature. I just act how i find natural, but people are always asking me what college i go to or thinking i'm at least a year older than i am. I suppose that's a good thing though.
And if only my mam thought of me the way you do in terms of responsibilty and stuff Minque. That would be cool
minque
May 13 2005, 09:03 PM
Maybe irish moms are more possessive...in sweden we are quite liberal....and besides how can a teenager learn to take care of himself if heīs not allowed to try?
When my eldest daughter was 17 she travelled all along sweden waaay up in the north and we live rather far south..but she managed naturally...you young ones does..I know it if only you are allowed to take responsibility...hmm thatīs my opinion anyway
Wolfie
May 13 2005, 09:06 PM
I think Ireland is just less safe than Sweden or something. It sucks
minque
May 13 2005, 09:17 PM
yeah could be that way......but canīt you go with some friends....maybe older ones......or a brother or something
Wolfie
May 13 2005, 09:17 PM
no brothers lol
And i'd kinda want it to be just me and Romana, sappy as that might sound
minque
May 13 2005, 09:19 PM
oh yes of course! but the travel could be safer if you were not travelling alone...
Wolfie
May 13 2005, 09:21 PM
yeah i know. Maybe i could go if i told her my friend was coming....
He's younger than me, but he got his black belt last Sunday
I think Ireland is just less safe than Sweden or something. It sucks
At least its smaller than the U.S.A.
Can't go anywhere cool because the continent is sooooooooo damn big. Downfall i suspose of having so much land, can't get anywhere.
Not to mention, Ireland is prolly safer, and that safety is probablly influenced by its smaller size (smaller a country is = easier to police)
