BBqs, fireworks, riots, 15 year old pyrotechnicians galore!
Heh... why do old people get pissed off at young people using this day to make or illegally buy bombs? I mean... the US fought the war using guerilla tactics, they were making bombs in their basements, too.
Yeah so what are ya'll (you'll notice because of the specific conjunction I used, I'm specifically talking to the Americans) up to for today?

..My brother and I found an old Mr.Potato head and are putting an artillery shell in it.

Used to do quite a fireworks show here at Casa Treydog. I recall that one of the types (name escapes me) that flew into the air seemed to have an absolute radar for wherever I was standing- they chased me all over the yard. But then the field next door was purchased and someone built a house. Although fireworks are legal in my county, he called the sheriff with a complaint.
This year, will do some grilling and writing and watch many of the neighbors set things off.
Then back to work tomorrow.
I didn't do much today for the Fourth. Some cookout stuff, mostly. I did most of my "Set off fireworks and watch 'em go boom" thing yesterday. Set off a bunch for a couple hours. Was fun. One nearly hit me. Twice.
It was like one of those fountain sparkly ones...sdo I got bored and looked away, then BAM! The things starts shooting out stuff at my general direction....

Well, me and a few friends went to watch some fireworks, but the place was really crowded, and we had to watch them from a parking lot, barely able to see them through the trees.
So we just had so set off some fireworks of our own right there.
Then we went to eat. Gotta love those founding fathers, giving us random excuses to shoot off some fireworks.

Well sky fireworks are illegal in our part of Florida ... but many people seem to know that mail ordering from Texas is their inalienable right under the constitution. So on my way into work on Monday night, we saw many beautiful sky fireworks shooting up from neighborhoods all over the place.
Then Tuesday night you could hear all the official county & city fireworks going off from all different directions. But we stayed in the house and ate hotdogs and played Dungeons & Dragons on the 4th. We also watch George Castanza & the Rockettes & Stevie Wonder have fireworks on TV.

I remember getting drinks and cakes for Canada Day. What a wild celebration that was!

Well, I watched the fireworks in my town which I can see from my house. Then some drunk driver drove threw a telephone pole near my house and we were without power for like 7 hours while the pole was replaced and power lines rehung.
