I'm doing this animation for animation class @ school. It's coming along but it takes a lot of time. I already put a lot of my time in it and it's allmost finished. Yay! But the thing is, I made the first test video today and it looks so boring without music. But I have no idea which song to use. The thing is that I'm searching for some kind of dark, mabey rock or Evanescence like song or w/e. But it's not like my type of music so I have no idea which song to use. So I was wondering if you guys could help me out?

Here are a few screenshots from the animation. Just to give you guys an idea of the whole atmosphere;

It would be great if the song starts kinda slow and quiet. But it has to be perfect, not to much and not to quiet biggrin.gif. I was thinking about an instrumental version because most lyrics don't match the story. So I hope you can help me out ^^ thanks for your time wink.gif!

Another possible one I can think of would be hard to find, Theatre des Vampires - Dances with Satan, but I don't think it would suit. I'll try to think of more, and if I can i'll let you know.

Ok, I got a couple of suggestions. If you are ok with growling then Behemot - Sculpting the Throne of Seth from the Demigod-disc could be a good choice, although I'm not sure growling would suit in that scene.

If you rather have power-metal there are a bunch of songs that could work. Helloween - Just a Little Sign for example, it has 15 second of calm melodic tune in the beginning before rocking off. Helloween - Back Against The Wall could also work. Or Gammaray - Fight.

Metallica - Sanitarium

Maybe? Not really sure... check it out it might work.

Some Symphony X maybe? wink.gif

Depends on how the video is kinda unfolding by I think you could try some Symphony X, would fit good I think. Try with Symphony X - Fallen, Of Sins and Shadows and In the Dragons Den. Think Danny could pick out a good one wink.gif

You should try one of those, 'Neverlasting' in particular.

If you're looking Symphony X, I'd try 'King of Terrors'

Also, I think 'The Mission' by Queensryche would work well if you could cut out the talking in the beginning.

Those pictures look great! Hope to see the final animation when you're done.

If you want timeless, non-vocal power-music I recommend something by Wagner - the heavy rocker of classical music... smile.gif
Tellie
Nightwish crimson tide...would fit perfectly, it starts calm, and goes heavy later.

How about something with no metal sound? I got a: Gus Gus - Anthem on my computer, that I came to think of when seeing this. Looks like an awsome animation smile.gif
There's a heartbeat in this song going on and some nice mystic tone to it, that could fit well to this. And there's also some elektronic "diddleli dums" at the end of it, which could fit for a fighting scene or some other action.
