Hi everyone!
Here we are. September 2025, and this is the 20th anniversary of these forums. Those twenty years have just flown by. Anyway, it got me reminiscing over those years, and it struck me that the last time we did anything writing related as a forum was back in 2013, when we had a small writing competition. I’ve been thinking about that competition. It was fun! Not the actual competition part, but knowing that everyone involved was working on something at the same time. Writing is, by essence, a solitary endeavour, which is why events like NaNoWriMo were so popular. You were writing. It was solitary. But you knew you weren’t alone.
And then I thought, we’re already in September, before I know it it’ll be 2026. Just over three months away. And then I started thinking about the Elder Scrolls, which happens far too often. Holidays. Christmas. New Life Festival:
NEW LIFE FESTIVAL
And I thought, wouldn’t it be a wonderful way to mark the 20th anniversary of this place, by all writers who were interested, creating something around the above New Life festival, to be posted in December. Everybody’s schedules are different; everybody writes at different speeds. So, with that in mind, I’m thinking as few restrictions as possible. Any story. Any length. Any time period, whether it be ESO, Arena, Daggerfall, Morrowind, Oblivion or Skyrim. Just that feeling of the forum creating, with the aim of sharing our different visions for everyone to enjoy during the month of December.
Would anyone else be interested in participating in this?
