Helena
I know I've been neglecting my fanfic of late, so I thought I'd share something else I've been working on recently: Songs! I've written quite a few song parodies before now, but never any original stuff, so this is something new for me and I'd be glad to hear your thoughts.

The first song, "Supposed To Be", is based loosely on my Morrowind fanfic and is a duet between the main character, Ada, and her Dunmer lover. The second song, "Whispers", is sung by... well, see if you can guess from the lyrics. tongue.gif

Both songs have tunes, but they don't sound very good without an accompaniment. I've written out the music and even worked out chords for one of them, and one of my musically-talented friends has offered to write a piano part, but he's very busy and I have no idea when he'll get around to it. Maybe one day I'll be able to actually sing them, record the music and post it here, but it's not going to be for quite a while.

Anyway, on to the songs themselves:

Well, as someone who once wrote a song parody for bacteriology, I certainly got a kick out of your lyrics. The first one totally sounds like Helena! It took me a bit to figure out the voice of the second, since I'm not that familiar with Morrowind, but isn't that Almalexia? I thought only Vivec survived? Correct me if I'm wrong, please!
Helena
Yes, it's Almalexia. Obviously this is supposed to be before... certain events in the Tribunal expansion. wink.gif

Ah, I see. Thanks for the explanation. I was a leetle too far ahead in the timeline there.

Oh wow those are AMAZING! I stand in awe before you.

I am especially in love with the second one. I am pretty intrigued by Almalexia, actually, and reading something from her pov was a kick.

Thanks, Kazaera! I'm glad you like them. The second song is my favourite too smile.gif

I really like these, Helena. In the first song Ada’s lover is certainly filled with angst. He almost sounds angry at the thought that the Incarnate actually adhered to the prophecy.

I think you really nailed Almalexia’s paranoia and megalomania in the second song. That final line is just perfect.
