Xbox 360, by far. the PS3 is a whopping $600. and it is just too much like the 360, and the 360 looks cooler smile.gif
deemu
i have got to agree with you there vulture my pal
Abu the Cat
Neither. PCs RULE THE WORLD because you can get mods for your games, such as Oblivion!
ThePerson98
If it is a console. Nintendo Revolution

Nintendo is trying something new, Microsoft and Sony are just making better hardware, nothing new, just better graphics.

Nintendo is making something that could change console gaming. And they will have 30 games on release.
So in the end...
250 dollars on a console that has 30 games and is something new
350 for something that you have already played but better graphics
800 for something that promises a lot and is the same old thing but yet again, with better graphics.

but is oblivion out on the nitendo revolution

No it isn't. The Wii, which replaced the revolution has that motion detect thing that annoys me.

your welcome. The Wii (which to me is a stupid name) is way below the 360 or the PS3, and the motion detect thing doesn't go well with all the games. For me Nintendo has struck out again. stick with the Xbox 360 and you will be happy I asurre you.

thanx biggrin.gif PS3...hmmm what can I say.., wait 3 years when they realize they did a stupid move, and buy it when it goes down to $400, Until then get the 360, and destroy all Wiis devilsmile.gif

In case you don't have a 360 here is my Top Ten:

1. Call Of Duty 2
2. NHL 07
3. Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter
4. Oblivion
5. Fight Night Round 3
6. Dynasty Warriors 5 Empires
7. NBA Live 06
8. Burnout Revenge
9. Full Auto
10. Top Spin 2

also another selling point of the 360 is the Gamertag it is awesome.

Congrats on getting a Xbox 360. I have one myself and have enjoyed it greatly so far. I only have Oblivion, Kameo, and 3 arcade games but I still play it a lot. I think Sony is making several mistakes on the PS3 and I hope that they fail this gen (Not a Sony hater as I have a PS and PS2). It would be nice to see Xbox 360 or Wii on top for this gen. I think too many people are going to make fun of the Wii for trying something different though so the Xbox 360 has the best chance of beating out the PS3. I'm going to run the Wii/360 combo this gen though.

NOOO, NOT THE WII!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There is nothing wrong with the Wii. I like to support Nintendo as they are the only one's really willing to try something new. I have a Gamecube and enjoy it greatly so I'm sure I'll like the Wii. wink.gif

I havent been on here in awhile, but I want to respond to this.

It isnt all about graphics. Wii will start out with many games. You havent even TRIED the motion sensor thing so dont judge it off the bat.
Im not a fanboy for any of these. Im just saying Nintendo has a good price tag, enough games, and something new. PS3 and Xbox 360 are just like their older brothers. Just better graphics (Wooo we all need that, who cares about games lets just make prices high and have good graphics!)
PS3 looks the be last, the cell processor will make it superior graphics-wise, but they dont have anything else going, and no one cares about the cell processor.

Microsoft rushed their console, and it started out with overheating. And few games. They're just finally getting to where they are good.

Also oblivion isnt the only game that people wanna play. I play it on PC, so having the Wii as a console would be nice along with it. Zelda Twilight Princess biggrin.gif
The Vulture
The 360 overheated because a bunch of IDIOTS thought it was okay to tilt the 360 while it was playing a disk.

The Wii actually looks sweet. And I think they have the option to use regular controllers as well as the motion detect one. (not sure about this one)

But how can you go wrong with the company that brought you games such as Smash Brothers and Zelda?

Nintendo will seal the deal for me if they also release a decent amount of games for the older demographic instead of the 5-12 year old one.

And they are actually going for $149 when they are released in November. (That's at Circuit City anyway)
Kiln
I think I'd try the 360 over the PS3 simply because of the price range. But there are also several games I'm looking forward to coming out on the 360 as well like the sequal to Fable and the next Halo game as well.

What can I say? I'm an Xbox fan and I the lineup looks great further into the year and early 2007.
Konji
I liked ps3 for ages and was always bashing the 360 until i heard assassins creed was coming out on both and on 360 they could actually do more! So 360 for me and more cash in my pocket.
ThePerson98
I've decided I want the Nintendo.
I just dont like the Xbox 360, and sony is gonna have problems with games, and price.
Nintendo is coming out with 30 games on release, and is acceptable in price range, and quality for that price.

Personally, I don't think Oblivion on a console is worth it anyway. Half the fun of an Elder Scrolls game is modding it.

Assuming I get a new console (with the PC bought though, it won't be happening for a little while) I will get a Wii. I'll stop buying Nintendo products when they stop making games I want to play.
Taillus
The Wii is my choice for the year everyone and I will tell you all why. The Wii is plain and simple. You buy your console, accessories and games. Hook it up and have fun. It is fun for the casual gamers (Aka...my girlfriend) as well as the hardcores like me. If some game I want isn't porting to Wii, then I always have my PC that I have just spent a small fortune on getting it ready for Oblivion.

With the PS3 and the X360, you won't be satisfied with the graphics unless you buy a good television. So you are looking at 400$ for the 360 or 600$+ for thr PS3 plus at the very least 1000$ for a decent tv so the games actually look their best (Because that is what the systems do best) but it doesn't stop there because the TV will have crappy sound so you will have to go get a surround system that will set you back lets say 500$. Next, your standard cable arrangement will not do so you must go get a high definition source from a Digital Cable provider or Satellite. Plus the cord for your inputs and outputs aren't worth a damn because you will need the biggest, baddest component/HDMI/Whatever cables you can get your hands on....

I don't know about you but to get the best out of the PS3 or 360 makes my credit cards hurt just thinking about it.

The Wii is going to break ground in two ways. It is going to reinvent the genre by taking chances (remember many games give the option and allow you to use a Retro controller instead of freaking out waving the Wiimote around) and it will get gaming back to what it is supposed to be...fun.
Bolzmania
Xbox 360 by far. I'm not sure why actually. Maybe the price and the number of the games. But I'm an Xbox fanboy. My first console was the original Xbox. If I got a PS2 I would probably like PS2 more and get PS3. But I looooove Xbox. Much much better.
