this may be a little dumb to ask, because it could be obvious to everyone else, but i have no idea how you drop things in oblivion. as in, remove from your inventory and leave on the ground. how do you do that?

First Off please tell us what system if it is for The Xbox 360 Then X or A over an item will drop it or holding The Left Bumper Will release it into your hands.

Im sure you are able to look up from the content given with the game

oh, sorry, i forgot that it was also on xbox. no, mines the pc version. i had a look in the manual while i was playing and couldnt find anything about dropping... perhaps i didnt look hard enough? i do feel rather like a dunce being stumped by something so simple

Yeah, I couldn't figure this out either. Then I did.

You have to shift click and drag the item off the menu. The menu closes, and you're holding the item.

turns out it does actually say hat in the manual, just in very small print and very easily missable
