Okay, here are four poems (Haiku's) written for a possible book. They are all related to battle and is written as if an adventurer/soldier wrote his war experiences after battle. anyways, there she blows:
The pessimist
Red, the rivers ran.
For a great battle was won.
Won, but also lost.
Ode to the wind
In, out, all around.
The winds of Tava flowing.
My sail will be short.
The rush
My sight fills with blood.
Running on adrenaline,
I kill my target.
The coming horror
The old birds scatter,
They know the coming horrors,
Killing will come soon.

Thank you. They took a while to perfect the words and flow, but I got them down the way I like them.

I've seen better haikus, but these are good. I think my fav is the coming horror. Oh, and about the Pessimist one: no wars are ever won.

Wars are won. But they come at a price.

Well, I can't exactly say I made the worlds greatest Haiku's, but I take pride in the pessimist and the coming horror.

I liked the haikus a lot. They were very well thought out and flowed quite well!

"Only the dead see the end of war"
"It is old men who declare war, but it is youth who must fight and die"
those are the two finest examples I know.
