Sui generis (/ˌsuːaɪ ˈdʒɛnərɪs/; Latin: [ˈsʊ.iː ˈɡɛnɛrɪs]) is a Latin phrase, meaning "of its own kind/genus" and hence "unique in its characteristics".
The term is widely used to refer to more esoteric entities in a number of disciplines, including
philosophy, when a concept is not available;
biology, when a species does not fit into a genus which includes other species;
law, when a special and unique interpretation of a case or authority is found to be necessary;
intellectual property rights, where there is no defining characteristic; and
politics and societal norms, where there is no real authority perceived.
When this game is in question I believe the bold part of Wikipedia's article applies to the [layer's character.
My knowledge about the game is extremely limited but from the video I deducted that it has just the right amount of bling, as well as some interesting features for character(s). I've donated 10 pounds on impulse and I'll await the 'prelude' part of the game, whatever it may bring. Access to early beta part (similarly to other crowd-funded projects) costs exactly twice as much. I'll have to read and read more on their forums in order to get more complete picture about the story, world and PC.
