I have a list of some cheats and what they do, and they say to unlock or ressurect, or kill it says it has to be targeted or sellected

while the game is paused for the console, click whatever you want to target and their name and specific code will appear at the top of the screen
then use your cheat and it will affect who/whatever you clicked

yeah what Strra said, like if you open the console, and click on a locked chest, you targeted the chest and then when you type 'unlock' it will then unlock the chest....
