I always find it quite interesting to see what type of games other people are waiting for, here's my list:


1. TESIV: Oblivion (December 2005)

3) S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl (though god knows when it'll come out, its been delayed about as much as Duke Nukem Forever, now)

4) Indigo Prophecy; aka Farenheit

5) Omikron 2 (Which should come after Farenheit at some point - sequel to one of the greatest games ever)

6) Alan Wake

What's AN3, out of curiosity? And isn't Fallout going to be released sometime after Oblivion, seeing how Bethesda have taken up the license?

Duke Nukem Forever (also known as Duke Nukem Never)has become something like the longest running gag in the history of digital entertainment, I really doubt 3D-Realms will be able to finish it this century might be our children or our children's children will be able to play it one day but only in case the children of the developer's children get to finish this thing at some point. Yes, the development of that game will outlast us all... So in about 120 years and after another 80 engine-changes the game will finally be finished. In case it flops, 3D-Realms will probably consider to take more time for their next game...

so I still think STALKER will be released a long time before DNF will, yes...

as far as I know, Fallout has not really been confirmed yet by Bethesda, there have been some rumours concerning this but nothing has been officially declared yet...

and AN3 = Aquanox 3 :lickinglips: I've been a fan of that series ever since the first game was released in 1995

Off the top of my head I can only think of one other than oblivion and that is X-men legends 2.

Hmm... Unreal Tournament 2007, Gears of War, MOHEA, Battlefield 2... Those and of course Oblivion :lickinglips:

Yeah, Stalker will probably be released before DNF, but considering its release date history I doubt they'll be too far apart from each other - it was originally meant to be released three years ago :shocked:

As for Fallout 3, the BethSoft press release seemed pretty official to me. They are however just starting work on it, so it probably will be a while till it comes out - but it will come out.

Hmmm... Well, right now I'm waiting for Oblivion. But, if I can't afford it, or if it's not as good as I think it should be, I'll be waiting for either Gothic 3 or definitely SpellForce 2, which is a kind of a... er, Fantasy RTS with some RPG elements mixed into it. Go, my evil little Dark Elven army! :evil7:

I'm not even sure what battlefield is - the name vaguely makes me think its a WW2 shooter, but I really have no idea.

Am I the only one waiting for Black and White 2? I know the first one got boring easily, but the new one has armies! I'm looking forward to Age of Empires 3 aswell, all of the 'Age of' games are classics.

I'm up for that, although I'd be willing to expand it to 'Anti-WW2-Shooters-Group' The amount of WW2 games out there... and the ones that are actually still being made :shocked: Its phenomenal. That creative energy should be channelled into something... creative. Like adventure games.

To be honest, BF2 actually looks pretty awesome and sure is a lot of fun - but - since it's only a multiplayer game it's nothing I'd buy... OFP was cool because it had those massive-scaled battles also in singleplayer and that was a lot of fun, too - without multiplayer! I'm just not the type of gamer who wants to stay online all the time to be able to play a game

Doesn't Battlefield have singleplayer? Oh well, its own loss. OFP was great, although in part I did wish it had better multiplayer. MP is fun though I usually only ever play it for a short time. There's not really anything better than owning a map with naught but a Dragunov and some bushes (read: Joint Ops demo). It does get old after a while though - usually before the game even comes out

oh yeah, the Dragunov :lickinglips: I'm looking forward to the release of OFP 2 next year, OFP is still one of my fave games of that genre ---> http://www.bistudio.com/presspages/pcpressrelease.html in contrast to BF2 it's gonna be more of a simulation and thus a lot more realistic :goodjob:

That's not true. Fallout 3 is confirmed. Bethesda WILL do it, right after Oblivion.
