As fall approaches.. many of us seem to be returning to our lives of work once more. I myself will be a freshman in highschool this Monday (28th) and my sister just moved into college today, she is also a freshman! But I'm curious to hear what everyone else will be doing... work? College? School? Jail?

Well, I'm returning to High School as a Junior.

I'm planning on taking the ACT alot this year, working in Journalism, Spanish Club, FBLA (ran for president. Have yet to do elections yet though). My boyfriend is an hour away from me in college right now, so I'm going to be spending all my free time over there. I have a busy two years ahead of me from this point.

I'm returning to a pit of work. I need to dig myself out of this two year hole I've made. Still, things are looking up and I feel confident about my future (if not a little wary).

For me it will be summer and I will be leaving not returning. Currently I am at university but after 8th of November I will be on holiday, I applied for a garden centre job today, part time so I will probably be doing that.

I'll be going back to secondary school for 6th year, my final year. At the end lucky me gets to take the most important tests i will ever take, that will basically decide my future. and included in those tests is a total of 5 hours of maths....ugh (2 2.5 hours tests)

Seriously: I wll probably have to enlist to my old 6th [now 7th, actually] Degree School [some sort of of colledge], because educational system is in reorganisation and to obtain a genuine Engineer's [Batchelor's] Diploma I must listen to 1 more semester/ or, to be more precise - give several exams of difference. In the meantime I'll also enroll to a course that is being organised by our national employment agency, to get training as a computer serviceman. So, to say the least, it's going to be busy. And bloody. And I don't believe I'll hang arround so much arround forums, IRC or anything else

but my good guess is, all this will pay off with interest in the end.

I'm going back to highschool in September for my second year of grade 12. I decided to go for 5 years instead of 4. So while a lot of people I know will be gone at college/university, there's a few of my friends sticking around for at least a semester, and I'm also going to have to get along with the age group below me, since they'll be taking the same courses I'll be taking. I got to know a few on my trip to France so hopefully that helps.

I've been back at high school for about two weeks now. I'm a junior (11th grade).
I'm also enrolled at the technology center here. I'm working on getting A+ Certification.
Right now, it's a slow process. I'm expecting to be there for 2-3 years.

Interestingly, I am returning to God.... or I should say, my religion, this fall. I never left God. But, I have been put in charge of security at one of the (larger) 7th Day Adventist buildings here that facilitates the running of the 4 largest hospitals in this area. Soooo ... I used to go to church on Sabbath from our studios because the church was 1 1/2 blocks away. But since we moved to the condo, we've been observing Sabbath at home on our own (day of rest, no work, eat sandwiches, read the bible) but we have not yet found the Adventist Church in our new area.
But now at work, when I go there - I see the beautiful pictures & posters and I know that soon I probably will be looking for the new Adventist Church around here.

Try $20.00+ per hour inshop & $35.00 on site .... half of what the shop is getting in labor. Course I don't know your area but the shop he worked at was in a rather exclusive part of Orlando. It probably vairies regionally, I'd guess.

I know at least that I get about 2 and a half hours of break time since I'm taking only 3 classes per semester instead of the usual 2. I had that last year, and I couldn't believe I survived taking 4 classes a day, 3 is just so much better. Especially when both are the last two periods of the day so you can leave school at 12:15 and go have a nap. Good times... hopefully I get something like that again.

A 40-minute walk? TMM, dude you must have some of the nicest legs around.
I also have it rough now ... I've got to be at work at 6:30 to 7:30pm instead of around sunset with my previous buildings. Not too much of a difference now though since the sun is setting earlier at end of August. So, I've got to get up by at least 4pm in the afternoon to have dinner, dress and get there.
But lately, instead of staying up until dawn at our computers when we get me home from work, we've been going to bed around 2am - to I can wake up around 10 or 11am and actually have some morining time. I like morning. If I wake up too early like today, I can nap in the afternoon before work in the evening.

I guess you can say that the amount of walking I do (not to mention a teenager metabolism) keeps me from packing a gut. I'm pretty sure I'm considered skinny, but I would have to say most of my weight is on the lower half of my body. Considering I won't have as much time playing hockey this year, the walks are really helpful. I also walk to work nearly everyday as well, so I do quite a bit of walking.
Wow, this time next week, school basically starts. I say basically because for some weird reason, students in grades 11 and 12 don't have to be at the school until 12pm and then we leave by 1:45pm. I guess it's an orientation day. This is the first time they've done this, and I've been at this highschool for four years.

Well, try to stay thin ... that is the healthy way to be. Way too many Americans are too fat these days = I could lose a few pounds myself. About 15 less would make me exstatic about my figure! Especially with all the swimming I've been doing ... it's happening but awfully slowly it seems like.
You know what I hate? When I return to Walmart for grocery shopping and see so many chunky, fat children whose parents have normal builds ... what's that all about? Love thy child to death? (early heart attack due to overweight later in life?) Doesn't seem right. Those kids need more exercise!

Hye Minque girl, was just thinking about you and wondering how your new job has been going. I see you start off really early like some other people here do. Yes, I know what you mean about having work waiting at home, but our little condo is so comfy and petite that it only takes me less than an hour to clean the whole entire place, top to bottom ... so that is good.
You are coming to the U.S. ?? Very cool. If I remember correctly your daughter is somewhere around Michigan, is that right? Guess you are heading up that way. Coming anywhere near Orlando, Florida? If so, I'd love to meet you! Wouldn't that be cool. I belonged to a website once who had a little reunion in Orlando ... but they were all Americans who came.
So how is the new job? I figure there must be an increased level of responsibility because you haven't been around as much as you used to be. But so glad you are still here ...

We are so international here in Orlando due to the attractions and the Space Shuttle industry ... even more so than NYC. People usually do spend alot of money visiting here because the Attractions bug bites them and once they see Disney then they want to see Sea World, Universal Studios, etc. My sisters don't do all that when they come though ... they just visit us although they ususally do plan a nice drive on the way home like through St. Augustine, North Carolina Smokey Mountains (those are the Smokies, right?), etc.
We certainly would roll out the red carpet for you at Casselberry by the Lake!

In Canadian highschool we just have juniors and seniors. Juniors are grades 9 and 10, seniors, grades 11 and 12. It's the easiest way to doing things since out auditorium is too small to fit the whole school, so the juniors have their assembly first, then the seniors have their assembly next.

Well my school is considered large for my city (around 1700). Your school might be smaller than that, so they do it a little different. I know this year, there's going to be less students since other schools are offering subjects that we only supplied. We have this program for students bound to go straight to the workplace, so the school went over a huge (and expensive) renovation. All of them are finally done this year.

I can understand that reading the "Cedar" part of that name can be mistaken for a male nickname. Like trees are big, and strong. But the "Lilly" part totally gives it away. I guess some people need to think a little bit more before they speak.
I should heed my own advice as well, you can't imagine what some of the really stupid things I've said before. Most of the time, it just leads to me inadvertantly making fun of myself or opening myself up for a "burn" by someone else. Ohwell, I take it all in good humour most of the time.
