Full Version: New Gamestar
Chorrol.com > Elder Scrolls Games > Oblivion
Argo
The new Gamestar (german magazine) has hit the stores and it features some minor new infos on the game, together with already known screenshots.

the only real new thing is a description of a very interesting sounding quest from the "dark brotherhood". you have to get into a house and murder 7 people (poison them, stab them or other stuff). the whole description sounds like its in a "agatha christie" detective storie style: 8 people (including you) have been invited to a manor and have to stay there for the night. over the night, they get murdered one after the othe. of course, no one knows whos the assassin (you). well that depends on you actually wink.gif

i dont know about you, but i think this one sounds really interesting.

on the dvd there are only some longer clips of footage we can already see in the trailer. once again: the graphics of oblivion are outstanding ... trust me... it looks simply amazing!! the woods move to the wind and stuff, and everything looks so real.

i had my doubts about some of the animations, but from what i can see in the trailer, they have improved A LOT. monsters move realistic and npcs dont walk like funny muppets anymore.

Wow, that actually sounds extremely creative and extremely interesting. If this is just one quest I'm even more hyped for Oblivion (Is that even possible?) This is going to greatly enhance my 1-player RP experience.

i guess they weren't lying when they said that quests were now much more involved and stuff. this quest would probably be bad in MW because it would seem like it would require a lot of dialogue, but since OB is completely VO'd it'll be awesome.
Argo
yeah, it sounds really really great!

what i forgot to mention is the way you get involved with the dark brotherhood! it works like it did in good ol' daggerfall: if you murder an innocent for no reason, you get a letter and get invited to a first meeting with the brotherhood.

way better than clicking a "do you want to join the dark brotherhood?" link, isnt it? biggrin.gif
Soulseeker3.0
dude.... THat is totally wicked (cool tongue.gif) I can;t wait for Obilvion!
Intestinal Chaos
Honestly when I heard quests were to be more involved I never expected this level of depth.
HardCode
Depth = awesomeness smile.gif

I can't wait to see how much they jazzed up the quests. Sounds like there will be lots of new and interesting ways of doing things. I can easily see myself locked away in my computer room for a few months upon release smile.gif
raistlin
the depth of that mission is great,i cant wait much longer for oblivion.

I freaking cackled when I heard about that quest. I was originally going to be a good guy but now I;m definitely joining the dark brotherhood. my character still won't be evil, but definitely infamous.

Let's see, so far I've heard about:

A quest where you have to save some guy's farm

A quest where you have to find some guy in a water-colored dungeon

A quest that ends with an angry making it rain flaming puppies

A quest where you have to kill 7 people by playing through one of those old detective scenarios

A quest where you have to find the long lost heir to the throne and return him to his rightful place while demons escape from oblivion and Jeremy Stamp tries to usurp power over the Empire.

A quest involving the Dog Familiy in Chorral.

now why do i doubt his one?
MerGirl
Wow, that sounds really cool! smile.gif Like the others said, that sounds like a great way to make a quest have more depth... I wonder what more kinds of juicy quests the devs have come up with for the other Guilds/Factions! biggrin.gif

aye, that's true

I'm sure I can imagine another Tarhiel event. Only replace a crazed bosmer with 1,000 burning puppies.
